The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) in collaboration with WestEd is funding an excellent opportunity to become a certified Desired Results for Children and Families trainer.
The Desired Results Certified Trainer Institute (CTI) prepares trainers to provide Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) teacher trainings.  Prerequisites* must be met before enrolling in the program. Upon fulfilling the prerequisites, participants must complete an eight-session virtual training program, covering presentation skills training, co-training with institute faculty, and a final certification assessment.
Certified trainers will gain access to the DRDP Online Conference Center enabling them to provide unlimited training as part of their job duties within their agency.  Maintaining certification requires attendance at quarterly update webinars to stay current on best practices.
* Prerequisites:  Trainers must observe and participate in DRDP in addition to a Meaningful Observation training session presented by a certified trainer, or complete and submit certificates for DRDP modules one to five completions from California Early Childhood Online (CECO).

Cost:  Free, funded by CDSS

 

 

Registration:  Please complete the CTI application and the Statement of Understanding.
Training includes all certification costs, a teacher training sample kit, and the one-year subscription fee for the conference center.
