C23-24 Desired Results Dashboard for Regional Administrators

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and California Department of Education (CDE) Desired Results (DR) System Regional Training will offer virtual training for administrators. The training model includes virtual, facilitated training from October through May and optional coffee hour sessions every other month.

Training Sessions—October 5

October 5, 2023, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. AND 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.*
This full-day session will consist of four breakout session opportunities. Participants may register for two sessions which will include the following topics:

  • The Role of the Administrator in Supporting Inclusive and Equitable Practices
    9:00 – 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Children's Behaviors Have Meaning: Teacher Strategies to Create a Supportive Learning Environment
    9:00 – 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • DRDP Online: The New Data System
    9:00 – 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Supporting Multilingual Learners in Early Childhood Environments
    1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Q&A session
    3:30 – 4:30 p.m. (optional)

Coffee Hour Sessions

Come ask questions and learn from your peers. In the coffee hour session, participants can "share a concern or a passion for something and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly." This is a time for conversation and reflection. After receiving a prompt, the attendees will lead the session. Please come to the session prepared to engage in conversation and network with other administrators who experience some of the same challenges and triumphs.

January 10, 2024, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Register - Topic: What does the Summary of Findings tell me about my program?

March 13, 2024, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Register - Topic: Where are my time and energy resources being allocated? (staffing, collecting data, supporting families, inclusive environments)

December 6, 2023, Time: 9:00-11:00 a.m. OR 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Registry, College Credit, Evaluation, and YouTube

Registry: Participants will earn professional learning hours per session attended.

College credit: Credit for one academic unit or continuing education unit is available for the new administrator training. Academic unit requirements include attending all sessions, completing selected virtual modules, completing a final report, and completing an assignment.
