Training is provided by the Desired Results Training and Technical Assistance Project. Select a title below for more information. To schedule training for your agency, please complete the Training Request Form.

Fee for Service Training

Learn about the format of DRDP, the use of documentation and evidence to rate measures, and the importance of inter-rater reliability.

Cost: 

  • Virtual series:
    • Up to 30 participants: $3000
    • Delivered via Zoom in two 3-hour sessions
    • Virtual training includes one hour of pre-work that must be completed before the training begins
  • In-person in CA:
    • 50 or fewer participants: $5,000  (Additional costs may apply if the event is custom or remote from the airport. WestEd requires two weeks' notice for in-person training cancellations.)
    • Delivered in person on one day (8 am-4 pm, including breaks)
  • In-Person Outside CA:
    •  50 or fewer participants: $6,600 (Additional travel costs may apply if remote from the airport.)

Virtual only: $2,000 per session. (Delivered in one 4-hour session, up to 30 participants per session. Complete the Training Request Form to schedule a DRDP Online training for your agency.

Free webinars - The DRDP Online webinar provides a general overview of DRDP Online, including how to rate measures and run reports. (Note: The same information is presented in all DRDP Online webinars.)

Learn about the purpose of observation, observing and collecting evidence, organizing an observation system, reviewing and reflecting on documentation, and rating the DRDP. (Previous attendance at a DRDP teacher training or a working knowledge of the DRDP is recommended.)

Sharpening Your DRDP Skills is designed for staff with experience using the DRDP who want to learn more about English language development (ELD), conditional measures, and time-saving tips. For teachers who have already participated in the DRDP or Meaningful Observation training, Sharpening Your DRDP Skills is a needed refresher.

Each teacher-focused training provides a deeper understanding of developmental progressions to help teachers create effective learning environments. In addition, administrator/coach training provides tools to support teachers using developmental learning progressions to develop effective individualized learning environments for all children.*

This full-day training provides the opportunity to learn about using DRDP results to plan for individual children and groups of children, looking in depth at how to prepare for small and large groups of children as well as individualize for specific children, and utilizing the foundations and framework in the planning process

California Early Childhood Online (CECO)

The courses provided on the California Early Childhood Online (CECO) website enable teachers to increase their content knowledge and ability to provide developmentally appropriate experiences for the children in their care.
